Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Purchases Site on New Britain Avenue :

Situation:  Connecticut Children’s Medical center was searching for a location in close proximity to the main Hospital in Hartford to construct a new primary care facility.  RM Bradley was challenged to find a site that was not only in a very small geographic area with a significant amount of parking, but also to secure a developer who would build and own the facility in the city of Hartford.

Solution:  After an extensive site search, RM Bradley was able to locate a two parcel site on New Britain Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut.  The 2.0 acre site and 15,500 square foot building, a former First National supermarket owned by Benenson Capital Partners of New York, and an adjacent 0.5 acre site, owned by a separate entity together, met both the locational needs of CCMC and the land requirement for parking.  RM Bradley was able to secure the Casle Corporation of Avon, CT, the area’s premier medical facilities developer, as the developer/owner for the project.  A total redevelopment of the site and building, including an approximately 11,000 square foot addition to the existing building, will turn the site into the City’s premier primary care facility dedicated solely to treating children.  Construction is set to be completed September 2013.

RM Bradley is proud to be a strategic partner with CCMC providing a full range of real estate services on this deal that included tenant representation, site selection, financial analysis, and lease negotiation.
